An Offline Workout Tracker With No Account Required
RepXP stores your workout history on your device, works without internet, and does not require a RepXP account. Optional iCloud sync uses your personal Apple account.
What offline-first means in RepXP
You can open your routines, start a workout, log sets, use timers, finish the session, and review locally available data without an internet connection. The workout does not depend on reaching a RepXP server because RepXP does not operate a server that stores your personal workout history.
If you enable iCloud sync, changes are synchronized through your personal Apple account when the device is online. The RepXP developer cannot open or read the contents of your iCloud workout data.
No account means no RepXP password to manage: the app does not require your name, email address, phone number, or location to track workouts.
Where each kind of data goes
Workout data
Exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal records, body measurements, progress information, and HealthKit data stay on the device or in your personal iCloud account when you enable sync.
Anonymous diagnostics
RepXP uses Firebase for anonymous usage analytics, crash reports, performance information, and feature configuration. These diagnostics do not contain your exercise names, weights, reps, workout history, or body measurements.
Services outside RepXP
- iCloud: optional synchronization is processed by Apple under your Apple account.
- Apple Health: optional read and write access is controlled through iOS permissions.
- App Store purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple, not by a RepXP payment account.
- Support email: RepXP receives information only when you choose to contact support or send an import request.
How optional iCloud sync works
Start with local storage
Your workouts are stored on the device. iCloud sync is off until you choose to enable it.
Enable sync from Data Management
RepXP begins syncing app data through your personal iCloud account across supported Apple devices.
Keep working offline
Changes remain available locally and synchronize when an internet connection returns.
Export when you want
Both Free and Pro users can export workout history, create a full RepXP backup, or choose specific sections and date ranges for a custom export.
Who benefits from this approach
A strong fit
- People who train in gyms with poor connectivity
- Privacy-conscious users who do not want another account
- Apple users who prefer optional iCloud synchronization
- Anyone who wants full exports and local control of workout records
Know before choosing it
- RepXP still uses anonymous diagnostics to improve reliability
- iCloud and Apple Health are optional Apple services with their own policies
- RepXP is not available for Android
- There is no web account for viewing workouts in a browser
Offline workout tracking questions
Can I log a workout without internet?
Yes. Core workout tracking works offline. If iCloud sync is enabled, changes synchronize after your device reconnects.
Do I need to create an account?
No. RepXP does not require account registration and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location.
Can the RepXP developer see my workouts?
No. Workout details are stored locally and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account. RepXP does not operate a server that stores your workout history.
Does any data leave my device?
Anonymous analytics, crash reports, and performance information can be sent through Firebase. Anonymous ad campaign information from Apple's attribution service can be attached to a few of those events, such as your first completed workout. None of it includes workout details such as exercise names, weights, reps, or body measurements. Optional iCloud and Apple Health data are handled by Apple.
